Barcode data stays on your device

FreeBarcodeGen processes barcode values, CSV imports and exports in your browser. Input is never uploaded, added to URLs or saved to local storage. Reloading or closing the page clears it. Downloads remain in your browser’s download location.

Website requests

The host receives page requests, which may include your IP address, browser information, requested path and request time. These requests exclude barcode input. The application has no advertising or accounts.

Analytics

We use Plausible, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity to understand visits and improve the website. These services receive usage and device information; Google Analytics and Clarity may use cookies. Clarity provides heatmaps and session recordings, with the generator’s content masked. We do not include barcode values, imported data or generated files in analytics events.

Links and downloaded files

External sites, including GS1, have their own policies. Downloaded files contain your encoded values; share them with intended recipients only.
